Rose is 1 + some bad news

This isn't exactly the 1 year old shot I had in mind for Rose, but unfortunately it's going to have to do. Why? Because after 3 years of faithful service, my camera waited just until it's warranty expired to eat the dust.
I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be able to have it fixed, and back in my hands very soon.

In the meantime, I unfortunately won't be able to accept any new portrait clients. Any sessions already booked will proceed as planned, and I will continue to book weddings as usual.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Here's my baby girl as a newborn, at 7 months, and at (a little over) 1 year. I can't believe how much she's changed!

A Rose update

It's been a LONG time since I posted anything of my own little munchkin, Miss Rose.

She's going through this phase where she would rather be the photographer than the model, so every time I've attempted a shoot with her, she spends most of it attached to my leg trying to steal the camera.
There is something to be said for not knowing the child you're photographing. They tend to stay a comfortable distance away from you, so you can actually focus the lens on them!

I'm hoping to get a real 1 year old shoot in very soon, since at 16 months she is LONG overdue. In the meantime, here are a few casual shots of her playing in the yard with Daddy!

Looking Back

I'm in the process of redesigning my website (sorry everyone for having it down for so long!), and have been hunting through old shoots for images for my portfolio. I came across these from the very first wedding I ever shot, before starting college.

2 1/2 years later, I think Karla and Ben's wedding still stands as my favourite. They were such a sweet couple, with a very fun, welcoming family. I had such a great time that day, and I really appreciate having the chance to get my feet wet in the wedding industry. Thanks for everything!

A beautiful Thanksgiving wedding

This past Thanksgiving Sunday I had the pleasure of shooting Robin + Conan's wedding. It was a gorgeous day for a wonderful couple to be married. All the best in your new married life together!
